    Why Bother With Self Development?

How many people’s lives did you touch today?

    I’ll start.

Between 5:30 am and 2:30 pm I interacted with

    • Charlie
    • The receptionist at the doctor’s office
    • My mom
    • A future podcast guest
    • Our podcast producer
    • The people in the cars around me as I ran errands
    • My Starbuck’s baristas

    I also

    • Texted 2 friends and
    • Posted on Facebook and Twitter

Plus there were a few people I was thinking about.

Like it or not every single one of those people felt my vibe even if I didn’t speak with them directly.

Now, think of all the people you interact with. On a typical day that can be a lot of people. Even if you live alone.

What impression did you leave them with? Did you leave them with a smile, a frown or neutral (what I like to call “at least – do no harm”)?

We are all powerful and have the ability to affect people’s lives on any given day. And the way we interact with them sets the tone for how they will interact with the people they come in contact with.

That’s why working on yourself is so important.

I know you’re reading this because you value self development. But do you sometimes feel it’s self indulgent or even selfish? Especially when it comes to taking care of yourself. Or maybe you think it’s worthwhile but get overwhelmed with all the different options.

In our latest podcast, Charlie and I discuss personal development, why it’s important to keep at it and what tangible, simple steps you can take today to make a positive difference.

LISTEN HERE and if you like it please share with a friend!

Because changing the world starts with changing ourselves!
